Friends Circle
Friends Circle is the higher-trust friend-making part of Humboldt Friends for Humboldt County adults.
Friends Circle access may open features such as PenPal broadcasts, Buddy Walks, friend matching, moderated instant messenger, private conversations, trusted meetups, and other Friends Circle activities.
Before Access Opens
Friends Circle access is not automatic. It may require SMS opt-in, safety confirmations, California ID review, an in-person Friend Interview, and staff review.
Some requests may require additional safety review before higher-trust features are opened.

Safety Requirements
Humboldt Friends may ask Friends Circle members to stay SMS subscribed for safety notices, agree to public safety-related record review where appropriate, follow community standards, and complete identity or session confirmation steps when needed.
These steps are designed to support accountability and safer local connection. They do not guarantee safety.
Requesting an Interview
Use the mobile app to request a Friends Circle interview from the Friends area. Humboldt Friends may contact you by SMS or support message about scheduling.
